Hazelnut Croissant Recipe - The French Defoncé

Defoncé: French. English translation: slang: getting high

Try Our THC Haze Nuts

Cooking is a great joy for many of us here at Avni Farms.  As food is so closely tied to the experience of getting high, it really gives you the ability to manifest creations that speak to your specific brand of munchies.

If you love cooking and cannabis like us, I bet you’ve made a batch of brownies before.  If you’ve never tried it before, we have the easiest way for you to start.  One of the more complicated steps in making cannabis infused baked goods is extracting the THC.  Typically, this is done with butter or a cooking oil.  While I wouldn’t say this is difficult, it often results in your entire home smelling like really swampy weed.

Fortunately, our new 500 Mg THC Haze Nuts Hazelnut Spread (tastes just like Nutella) takes all the stink away and will leave your kitchen smelling like a chocolate factory.  Be careful though, if you don’t mix them with some non-infused Nutella, you’re looking at a dose of a little over 45 Mg per croissant. If you don’t know if this is too strong for you it probably is.  As the great and wise Nick Swardson once said “There’s nothing worse than being violently too high.”

Happy baking, everyone.

THC Hazelnut Croissants Recipe

**Ingredients:**
– 1 package of puff pastry sheets (usually contains 2 sheets)
– Haze Nuts THC-infused Hazelnut Spread (500 mg of THC in 5.9 oz jar)
– Regular Nutella (optional, for adjusting potency)
– 1 egg (for egg wash)
– Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

THC Content Calculation with Regular Nutella:

To calculate the new THC content when mixing with regular Nutella, you would adjust the ratio of THC-infused Nutella to regular Nutella. For example, using half a tablespoon of THC Nutella and half a tablespoon of regular Nutella per croissant would halve the THC content in each, resulting in approximately 22.725 mg of THC per croissant. Remember, accurate measurement is key to ensuring consistent potency.

**Instructions:**
1. **Preheat Oven:** Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. **Prepare Puff Pastry:** Unroll the puff pastry sheets and cut each sheet into 6 triangles.
3. **Add Nutella:** Place a tablespoon of THC-infused Nutella at the wider end of each triangle. You can mix it with regular Nutella to reduce the potency if desired.
4. **Roll the Croissants:** Roll the triangles up from the wider end to the smaller end to form a croissant shape.
5. **Egg Wash:** Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush the egg wash over the croissants for a golden finish.
6. **Bake:** Place the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
7. **Cool and Serve:** Let the croissants cool for a few minutes. Optionally, dust them with powdered sugar before serving.

**Note:** If you wish to reduce the potency of each croissant, you can mix the THC-infused Nutella with regular Nutella. This allows you to control the dosage of THC per croissant more precisely. Be mindful of the THC content and consume responsibly. The effects of THC in edibles can be potent and longer-lasting compared to other consumption methods. Always be aware of and comply with your local laws regarding THC-infused products.
